As Sheriff I will be the strategic planner for the organization to facilitate the best and safest possible working conditions for all employees. Employees will be able to focus on doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. As a law enforcement leader, I have seen how poor employee treatment affects service to the community. I know firsthand how hard it is to fight back against bureaucracy that creates terrible working conditions within government. Not addressing internal issues leads to good personnel leaving the Office of the Sheriff and worse, law enforcement all together. You lose diversity and experience to other agencies and ultimately the community suffers from governmental incompetence. We can do better.
